The One Room
A quiet transmission from the laboratory I was told once that we are not the voice in our heads. We are the ones who hear it. The sentence arrived as a kindness. It sounded finished. I wrote it on a page and most likely forgot about it, which is what the mind does with any truth that would require it to step aside. Then, in the night, the voice came back. It did not argue. It handed me the script and called it my life. In that script the narrative is woven out of family lines

What is VERBUM
A quiet transmission from the laboratory There is a place that does not appear on any map and yet every true work begins and ends there. It is not a room. It is not a technique. It is the still centre from which the performer—whether on stage, in the edit, or in the ordinary hours of a life—becomes the absolute observer of what is already happening. From that centre, impulse arises. To that centre, every finished action returns. Without it, presence remains only a performance

The Quiet Place
Every true action begins and ends in the same place. I call it the Quiet Place. It is not a corner of the room. It is a construct of the mind, linked to the center each of us must discover inside the body. In the Quiet Place there is nothing left to achieve. No need to act, no need to fill the silence, no need to prove. From there the performer becomes the absolute observer of what is happening around them and to them. Every impulse starts there. Every finished action returns
